It’s an honor to be invited to any wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral, but it’s even more special when you get to photograph it all and be part of a great couple’s special day. When Heather and James booked me over a year ago I was really looking forward to it. I thought they were a lovely couple , very relaxed about the whole thing, a great attitude towards planning their big day. Plus, they were getting married at one of the most famous cathedrals in the world and having their reception at one of my favorite little venues, Dartmouth House in Mayfair, happy days all round. The day started off at St Pauls, photographing guests arriving and spending a bit of time capturing the groom , best man and ushers. It was nice to see that a little crowd of onlookers had gathered to await Heather’s arrival, I thought that would be nice for her to see. After the service, we aimed for the steps at the front and gathered everyone for a huge group photo, which ended up looking great so I was pretty pleased about that. After family pics and capturing some nice shots of Heather and James, we headed to Dartmouth House for the reception, wedding breakfast and first dance before I departed. A thoroughly enjoyable day, here are a few highlights from different parts of the day. Enjoy!
