Destination Wedding Photographer Teddington, Richmond, Surrey, London

Destination Wedding Photographer Teddington, Richmond, Surrey, London Mathew Quake. I met Aimee and Paul for the first time in person a day before their wedding, on the banks of the beautiful Red Sea. I can imagine it is quite challenging for any couple living abroad to book a UK photographer by telephone, especially as much of the decision comes down to how couples instantly feel in the company of their potential shooter. But, having corresponded a few times before my departure, we hit it off in person immediately. The wedding was on a Sunday and they flew me out on the Friday so that I had time to aclimatise, get to know them, family and friends as well as to plan the photography part of the day. The wedding took place on a beach in El Gouna. The Red Sea was a majestic backdrop for the service and a fabulous setting for two people who are clearly made for eachother. Really bright sunshine can be challenging so we timed the bride and groom photographs for later on in the day as the sun started to dip and the temperature cooled.

Andaz London Wedding Photography | London Wedding Photographer

Andaz London Wedding Photography by London Wedding Photographer Mat Quake. An Andaz Liverpool Street Hotel wedding will take your breath away. The glamorous, decadent and opulent settings provide the perfect backdrop for the biggest day of your life. It’s a very exciting venue for wedding photographers because the indoor photography possibilities are varied and endless, perfectly suited to those who can manipulate light confidently to get the most out of the surroundings. Any bride and groom looking to book their wedding or part of their wedding at a contemporary, urban and modern London location will not be disappointed.

Yesim and Michael are one of the nicest couples I have met and I was really pleased they booked me. The wedding ceremony itself took place at the famous Saint Bartholomew the Great, West Smithfield, famous for it’s appearance in films such as Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Four Weddings and the more recent Sherlock Holmes. After a very memorable service the reception and evening party was held at the very modern and stylish Andaz Hotel Liverpool Street, London. It’s a hub for fantastic photography opportunities, one of my favorite London venues. A lovely wedding filled with tradition from all corners of the globe. Here is a selection of natural, contemporary and creative documentary wedding photographs from Yesim and Michael’s wedding.

Babington House Wedding Photography | London Wedding Photographer

Babington House wedding photography by London wedding photographer Mat Quake. Babington House and it’s 17 acre estate date back to Georgian times. A traditional English country wedding setting with a bohemian twist, nestled in the middle of the rolling Somerset hills. The wedding ceremony takes place in the Babington Chapel, St Margarets Church. On a sunny day the grounds surrounding the house and chapel are a lovley place to enjoy champagne and canapés after the ceremony. The lake, gardens and house offer a superb backdrop for contemporary, candid wedding photography.

This has been one of my favorite venues to photograph at this year. I was recommended to Duncan and Lisa through a friend and after meeting them for the first time we immediately hit it off. Since this was the first time for me to photograph at Babington House I arrived about four hours before I was due to be with Lisa and the girls for their getting ready photos. This gave me ample time to explore the grounds thoroughly and ensure I knew exactly where I wanted to take their formal family photographs as well as beautiful shots of them both as husband and wife. Here is a selection of natural, contemporary and creative documentary wedding photographs from Lisa and Duncan’s wedding.

{Alex & Abdu} Ridge Farm Studio Wedding Photography

This post features Ridge Farm Studio wedding photography from Alex ad Abdu’s wedding last year. I have decided to blog this wedding again because all the couples I meet love the photographs. It was also published in two wedding magazines earlier this year so I think it deserves another piece of publicity. Alex and Abdu booked me for two days. The Saturday included a traditional blessing in the gardens of the lodge. The Sunday saw our happy husband and wife take part in a traditional Sudanese ceremony. It’s always an extra special privilege to be part of something more unique than the average wedding ceremony, especially when your given the opportunity to experience another culture. Enjoy some of the highlights from the two days.
