Portmeirion Wedding Photography from Clare and Martin’s stylish winter wedding. Every Portmeirion wedding I have had the pleasure of shooting has exceeded expectations, it’s such a magical little place. It’s always comforting for the couple and the photographer to be somewhere where you have a lots of lovely indoor spots for photographs too (it does rain a lot in Wales to be fair). As I live in London, Clare and Martin booked me after we had spoken over the phone a couple of times. It’s nice to meet up face to face before the day if possible but I think you always get a good sense of a person over the telephone none the less. On the day itself I met Clare for the first time on arriving to take some photographs of her getting ready with her bridesmaids, before meeting up with Martin and his best men for some softly posed and candid shots around the village. The ceremony was bathed with lovely natural light coming in through the main window of the hall, making it a joy to photograph. After the ceremony, I quickly arranged everyone for a confetti photograph to welcome Clare and Martin together. After the family photographs I briskly took the happy couple to the best spots in the village. The weather was dry but quite chilly and I certainly didn’t want either of them catching a cold before their trip to New Zealand. I hope you enjoy some of the candid moments captured throughout the day, some funny moments during the speeches especially. Very best wishes to Clare and Martin for the future.
